Japantown

The City says San Francisco's Japantown is one of the few remaining in the United States, and was the first. Its heart is the Peace Plaza, where the Peace Pagoda anchors a gathering place beside the Japan Center malls, home to a bakery, tea shops and the Kinokuniya bookstore. The neighborhood hosts events throughout the year, including the famous Cherry Blossom Festival.
